Structured cabling when cameras, voice and IT share the plant

Modern sites rarely run pure IT cabling. Cameras, access panels, WAPs and sometimes AV endpoints share pathways and often share PoE budgets.

Design should start from concurrent load, not from a generic Cat6 count. Undersized power budgets surface later as random camera drops and angry helpdesks.

Labelling, test results and spare capacity in trays are the difference between a controlled expansion and a forensic exercise two years later.

When ELV and IT stakeholders share one pathway plan early, both teams avoid the classic blame loop when something fails at go-live.
